Pregnancy rates

Pregnancy rates in Assisted Reproduction

The pregnancy rates derived from the different assisted reproduction techniques depend on various factors, among which, the woman’s age and that of her eggs is one of the most important. The published 2010 results correspond to clinical pregnancy rates, in other words, positive pregnancy tests subsequently corroborated with ultrasound scan. The data show results per cycle and not accumulated rates in different attempts. With the aim of having a real and reliable reference value with which we can compare our data, the results corresponding to the SEF (Spanish Fertility Society) 2009 registry are also shown.

A decrease in the pregnancy rate in relation to the woman’s age can be observed. It must be considered that these are global results and therefore include couples with different diagnosis, some more severe than others and thus with different probabilities to achieve a pregnancy in each case.
